Place fruit in an 11 X 7-inch baking dish or an 8 X 1 ½ inch round baking dish and stir in the sugar.
In a medium mixing bowl combine oats, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Cut in margarine or butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in nuts. Sprinkle topping over the filling
Bake in a 375-degree oven for approximately 40 minutes or until fruit is tender and topping is golden brown.
